"What is the News?" Umojaa to Imani, no matter how you look at it "Community is the Key" to Baltimore Black Pride (BBP). Taken from the Swahili language just like the Seven principles of Kwanza it Starts and ends with you and I. Umoja, the first principle of Kwanza, means unity while Imani, the last principle, means Faith. Taken from the seven principles of Kwanza you can see why "Community is Key" to Baltimore Black Pride, Inc. BBP hopes to bring the community together to create and utilize that power that is truly within the community. When we work together for each other supporting one another only then can the true power that is the community be revealed.
BBP has taken up the task to not only educate and uplift the GLBT community of color but also its family and friends as well. While not exclusive we try to personify inclusive because we realize that before you see our sexuality or gender Identity, you see our color and it is this fact that connects us all together. BBP welcomes you to it's web site and ask that you come back often as the links and information change on a regular basis.
